The Agrupación Artística de Amigos de la Jota de Teruel is a cultural entity passionately dedicated to the preservation, study, and dissemination of the Aragonese jota, one of Aragon's most emblematic and deeply rooted folkloric expressions. Its main mission is to keep this centuries-old tradition alive, encompassing the singing, dancing, and instrumental music that characterize it. The group organizes jota classes for all ages, workshops, rehearsals, and regular performances, encouraging the participation of new generations and ensuring the intergenerational transmission of this valuable knowledge. In addition to its educational and interpretive work, it actively contributes to the research and documentation of local jota variations. It is a fundamental pillar for Teruel's cultural identity, promoting pride in its roots and the vitality of its intangible cultural heritage through the jota.
