Bio / presentation
The Society of Performing Artists (AIE) is a non-profit organization that manages and defends the intellectual property rights of musicians in Spain and internationally. Founded in 1989 and authorized by the Ministry of Culture, it represents over 35,000 members. Through reciprocal agreements with 82 organizations in 59 countries, it protects the rights of more than 800,000 artists. It has offices in Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville. Its president is conductor and composer Luis Cobos, who also leads the Ibero-American Federation of Performing Artists (FILAIE).
