The Association of Friends of the Patios of Cordoba is a key entity in safeguarding and promoting the Patios Festival of Cordoba, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Its main objective is to preserve the tradition of decorating and opening these unique spaces to the public, which are at the heart of Cordoba's social and cultural life. The Association actively works to encourage the care of the patios, the transmission of knowledge associated with their floriculture and design, and the organization of the popular Patios Contest. Furthermore, it carries out significant work in disseminating and raising awareness about the value of this festivity, ensuring that the customs, neighborhood coexistence, and collective memory inherent in the patios remain alive and are passed on to future generations.
