Bio / presentation
The Girl Guide Movement is a century-old nonprofit dedicated to the holistic development of girls and young women through leadership, community action, equality, and empowerment. It is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), present in 150 countries and with over 10 million members. In Spain, Guiding began in Zaragoza in 1930 and reemerged in 1962 with the founding of Group 1 Ntra. Sra. del Pilar. Today, Guías de Aragón is the largest Guiding community in Spain, with around 500 members. Through camps, outdoor adventures, and values-based education, it fosters global citizenship, personal growth, and social responsibility, helping young people reach their full potential and contribute to building a better world.
