LIBRIS is an association founded in 1988 that brings together 39 bookstores specializing in antique, rare, and collectible books from across Spain. Its main goal is to promote the dissemination and preservation of bibliographic heritage, as well as to foster interest in bibliophilia. Since 1989, in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, it has organized the Autumn Fair of Old and Antique Books, held annually on the Paseo de Recoletos. Additionally, it collaborates with other entities, such as the Association of Old and Antique Booksellers of Aragón (ALVADA), to organize similar fairs in other regions. LIBRIS also publishes catalogs and publications related to the world of antique books and offers advice to collectors and institutions. Its headquarters are in Madrid, and it serves as a benchmark in the field of antique books in Spain.
