The Asociación Galega de Editoras (AGE) is the organization that brings together publishing houses based in Galicia, primarily focused on publishing in the Galician language. Its main goal is to defend, represent, and promote the interests of the Galician publishing sector, while also contributing to the promotion of Galician culture through books. AGE encourages its members’ participation in national and international book fairs, promotes reading in Galician, and collaborates with cultural and educational institutions. It also supports the professionalization of the sector, the improvement of the book value chain, and the protection of copyright. The association is actively involved in the Federation of Publishers’ Guilds of Spain (FGEE) and other editorial networks. Its mission is aimed at consolidating a sustainable publishing industry and enhancing the visibility of Galician language and literature as essential components of Galicia’s cultural identity.
