Bio / presentation

La Manzana de la Rivera is a landmark cultural complex located across from the Palacio de los López in Asunción’s historic center. It consists of nine heritage houses built between the 18th and 20th centuries, restored and adapted as cultural venues. The site includes the Museo Memoria de la Ciudad, the Augusto Roa Bastos Municipal Library, exhibition halls, auditoriums, a cultural café, and spaces for artistic and community activities. Managed by the Municipality of Asunción, La Manzana’s mission is to preserve architectural heritage and promote access to culture through a varied program. It is a local reference point for artistic, educational, and civic engagement. With its blend of historical significance and cultural vitality, it serves as a gathering place for both residents and visitors interested in the city’s identity and urban memory.
