Bio / presentation

The Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM), located in the heart of Santiago, Chile, is one of the country’s most important cultural institutions. It is dedicated to the promotion of performing, visual, and musical arts, and to strengthening public access to culture. Managed by the Corporación Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral, a private non-profit organization established in 2008, GAM was created as a democratic, inclusive space for cultural expression. The center hosts a broad program that includes theater, dance, concerts, visual art exhibitions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives. Its facilities include performance halls, rehearsal studios, galleries, and public gathering spaces. With a mission rooted in diversity, accessibility, and participation, GAM has become a reference point for contemporary cultural production in Chile and Latin America.
