La Tortuga, Centre for Cultural Creation and Research, is an independent space located in Madrid’s Lavapiés neighbourhood, devoted to fostering contemporary artistic processes and critical inquiry. Operated collectively, it encourages interdisciplinary experimentation through residencies, laboratories and mentoring for emerging creators.
