Bio / presentation
The Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation (CMPR), located in Bogotá, Colombia, is a public institution created to preserve the memory of victims of the armed conflict and promote reconciliation processes. Inaugurated in 2012, the center is managed by the High Council for the Rights of Victims, Peace and Reconciliation of Bogotá’s City Hall. The CMPR hosts exhibitions, cultural events, artistic interventions, workshops, and community encounters. Its participatory approach encourages social dialogue, recognition of the past, and the building of a culture of peace. The center’s contemporary architecture symbolizes openness, living memory, and reparation. Today, the CMPR is a regional reference in memory practices, transitional justice, and cultural mediation.
