Chévere is a theatre agitation company with over 30 years of experience. In 2014, it was awarded Spain’s National Theatre Prize for its social and cultural commitment and for a consistent trajectory marked by collective creation, genre transgression, and critical engagement with reality. In 1992, it founded the Nave de Servizos Artísticos–Sala Nasa, which it led artistically until 2011. Since 2005, Chévere has expanded its operations, participating in audiovisual projects, pioneering internet-based creations, experimenting with audio fiction, and using theatre as a tool for education and awareness. From 2012 to 2019, it carried out a theatre residency in the municipality of Teo (A Coruña), combining creative work with community integration programs. In 2015, it launched A Berberecheira, a theatrical land stewardship initiative and creative lab for developing new stage projects.
