Bio / presentation

The Tito Bustillo Cave, located in Ribadesella (Asturias), is one of Europe’s most important Paleolithic rock art sites and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discovered in 1968, it contains an exceptional collection of cave paintings and engravings dating back over 14,000 years. Due to its delicate condition, access to the original cave is highly restricted. To preserve the site and promote its heritage, the Tito Bustillo Rock Art Centre was created—a modern interactive museum offering faithful reproductions, educational workshops, and permanent exhibitions. The site is managed by the Government of the Principality of Asturias, which ensures its conservation, research, and public engagement. It stands as an international model for rock art interpretation and a cultural and tourism landmark in the region.
