David Zwirner is a leading contemporary art gallery with locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. Representing over seventy artists and estates, the gallery is known for its innovative exhibitions across media. Founded in 1993 in SoHo, New York, the gallery relocated to Chelsea in 2002 and expanded globally, with new spaces in London (2012), Hong Kong (2018), Paris (2019), and Los Angeles (2023). In 2021, it opened 52 Walker in New York, directed by Ebony L. Haynes. Beyond exhibitions, David Zwirner operates David Zwirner Online (viewing room), David Zwirner Books (publishing, since 2014), the podcast Dialogues (since 2018), and Utopia Editions (fine art prints, 2021). In the same year, the gallery launched Platform, a separate venture for buying work by sought-after contemporary artists online. Zwirner plays a key role in both primary and secondary markets, fostering major careers and promoting contemporary art globally.
