Bio / presentation
The European Association of Conservatories, Academies of Music and Musikhochschulen (AEC) is an association dedicated to supporting and representing music education in Europe, with over 300 member institutions in 57 countries. Based in Brussels, AEC promotes music and arts education as essential contributors to quality of life and an inclusive society based on democratic values. AEC aims to foster excellence in artistic practice, learning and teaching, and research and innovation. It provides its members with collaboration opportunities and access to resources and relevant data on higher music education in Europe. AEC is involved in EU-funded projects such as AEC-ARTEMIS and PRIhME, which promote higher music education and artistic training as drivers for future development in Europe and the world.
