Bio / presentation
Fanak Fund is an independent civil society initiative launched in 2019 by a group of professionals committed to supporting art and culture in Europe, the Arab world, and the Middle East. Its main goal is to facilitate the mobility and creativity of artists and cultural operators living and working in these regions, allowing them to travel within or beyond their geographic area. Fanak supports projects that contribute to local cultural development and the empowerment of communities, promoting values of equality, transparency, and sustainability. Among its key programs are Ana Houna, which supports artists in exile near conflict zones, and Zodeh, which offers consolidation grants to independent artistic initiatives. The fund also collaborates with local organizations to provide temporary accommodation, workspace, and financial support for displaced or at-risk artists. Fanak Fund operates independently, without ties to public institutions or corporations, ensuring flexible, community-driven cultural action.
