Bio / presentation
The International Festival of Video and Multimedia of the Canary Islands was one of the first events in Spain dedicated to exploring electronic art, video art, and emerging technologies. Held during the 1990s and early 2000s across various islands, the festival featured screenings, workshops, installations, and gatherings of artists, researchers, and technologists. Its goal was to promote contemporary audiovisual creation and critical reflection on digital media. Although the festival is no longer active, it remains a significant reference in the history of multimedia art in Spain, particularly within the unique insular and cultural context of the Canary Islands.
