Bio / presentation

The Focus Abengoa Foundation, based in Seville, was established in 1982 with the aim of promoting cultural, educational, and heritage initiatives, particularly those related to the historical and artistic legacy of Andalusia. One of its most emblematic projects is the management of the Hospital de los Venerables, a baroque building transformed into a cultural center that hosts exhibitions, lectures, concerts, and educational activities. The foundation is also dedicated to the study and dissemination of the work of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo and the Spanish Golden Age, organizing awards, seminars, and specialized publications. In addition, it develops programs focused on training and raising awareness around ethical values and sustainability, aligned with Abengoa’s social commitment. Through its integrative approach to art, history, education, and science, the Focus Abengoa Foundation has become a key institution in the preservation of heritage, the promotion of culture, and the creation of spaces for reflection and knowledge in Seville and beyond.
