Bio / presentation
Parra & Romero, founded in Madrid in 2005 by Guillermo Romero Parra, specializes in exploring the boundaries of conceptual and minimalist art, representing young and mid-career artists without being restricted to a specific medium. The gallery, conceived as a laboratory for new dialogues in contemporary art, organizes around eight exhibitions per year and participates in six international art fairs. In 2012, Parra & Romero expanded its project with a space in rural Ibiza, dedicated to hosting site-specific projects and fostering meetings between artists, curators, and museums. In 2022, the gallery opened a permanent space in Santa Gertrudis, Ibiza, paying homage to the cultural legacy of the island, which has been a refuge for intellectuals since the 1930s. This new space aims to preserve that spirit, furthering the gallery’s commitment to research and contemporary artistic creation in both a local and international context.
