Founded in 1990 by Emmanuel Perrotin, Galerie Perrotin is a major force in contemporary art, with galleries in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, London, and Dubai, spanning over 8,500 square meters. The gallery represents leading international artists and takes part in over twenty major art fairs annually, including Art Basel and Frieze. In Paris, it occupies historic venues such as the Hôtel d’Ecquevilly and multiple spaces in the Marais and Avenue Matignon. Perrotin also operates bookstores and publishes catalogues, editions, and media content including podcasts and videos. It hosts public programs—panel discussions, concerts, and educational workshops for children. Each gallery adapts iconic architecture to contemporary art, like the former Del Mar Theater in Los Angeles and the Amber Building in Shanghai. The 2025 opening in Dubai marks a growing presence in the Middle East. Perrotin merges exhibition, cultural mediation, and global commercial strategy in contemporary art.
