Bio / presentation
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game creation event, held simultaneously in over 100 countries. Every January, thousands of developers, designers, artists, and creatives gather for 48 hours to develop video games based on a surprise theme. Its mission is to foster innovation, experimentation, and collaboration in game development. Founded in 2009, GGJ is managed by a nonprofit organization registered in the U.S. as a 501(c)(3). Beyond the event itself, it drives a global network of local sites, education, and knowledge exchange within the gaming community.
