The Guild of Hogueras Artists of Alicante is the corporation that brings together the creators and artisans responsible for constructing the "Hogueras" (bonfire monuments) for the San Juan Festivities. Its primary function is to safeguard and develop this ephemeral art form, an essential component of Alicante's intangible cultural heritage. The Guild ensures artistic excellence and innovation in the creation of each "hoguera," which combines satire, social criticism, and impressive sculptural and pictorial mastery. It acts as a bastion of tradition, fostering the transmission of techniques and knowledge between generations. In addition to its creative work, it represents the artists' interests, promotes the dignification of their craft, and actively contributes to projecting the Hogueras as a unique and highly valued cultural manifestation.
