Bio / presentation

In 2008, La Quintana received the Max Award for Best New Performance with Desde lo invisible, which toured nationally and internationally for two years. In 2010, they premiered Innómines (Path to Happiness) directed by Luis Blat; in 2011, Realidades directed by Lidia Palazuelos; and in 2012, El Bolso o la Vida directed by Rolando San Martín. After more than 100 performances, the company resumed its activity in 2018 by re-staging Desde lo Invisible for its 10th anniversary at the “Una Mirada Diferente” Festival of the CDN, with a season at Teatro Pavón Kamikaze. Recently, they premiered O Premio, co-produced with the Centro Dramático Galego and supported by Madrid City Council. We seek a theatre that speaks about life through research and collective creation. La Quintana Teatro was born from the urge to observe the world and brings to the stage the most hidden social realities.
