Laboratorio Escénico S. Coop. Galega is a cooperative founded in 2019 by Carmen Cotelo and Alba Fernández, giving rise to Laboratorio Escénico Coop Arts Center in A Coruña. It’s a hub for training, creation, and research in the performing arts, offering programs for all ages and skill levels. The center also serves as a creative base and meeting point for professionals. Notable are its Theatre and Movement Labs, and Interdisciplinary Improvisation Labs. They currently tour five shows blending theatre, dance, music, and social engagement: Horas de Outono, Canela, Nómadas, As Mapoulas, and Blues de Medianoite. They also lead cultural and educational projects like the Professional Dance Plan and other social initiatives. Their work promotes a living, collaborative, and transformative art practice.
