Le Confort Moderne is a multidisciplinary cultural center located in Poitiers, France, blending contemporary art, music, and alternative culture. Established in 1985 in a former household appliance warehouse, the venue was renovated in 2017 by architect Nicole Concordet, preserving its industrial identity. Spanning 8,500 m², it houses two concert halls (800 and 200 seats), exhibition spaces, a restaurant, a bar, a fanzine library, a creative studio, rehearsal rooms, and artist residencies. Managed by the association L’Oreille est Hardie, Le Confort Moderne is a key player in the French cultural scene, promoting artistic experimentation and community engagement. Its program includes concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and events that encourage interaction between artists and audiences. The center also supports social and educational initiatives, emphasizing its commitment to accessibility and cultural diversity.
