Bio / presentation
Licenciada Sotelo was founded in 2010. With the body and movement at its core, the company explores an eclectic and multidisciplinary stage language. Nuria Sotelo and Cris Vilariño form the core of the company, which regularly collaborates with other local artists such as playwright Ana Vallés, cellist Macarena Montesinos, singer Mounqup, and dancers Rut Balbís and Clara Ferrao. The company’s eight productions have been featured in regional and national theatre networks, as well as in national and international festivals of theatre, dance, and performance arts. Their piece Ensaio amor was awarded at the 30th Madrid Choreographic Competition.
