Bio / presentation
The Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation (CMPR), located in Bogotá, Colombia, is a public cultural institution dedicated to preserving the memory of the victims of the armed conflict and fostering reconciliation. Inaugurated in 2012, it is managed by the High Council for the Rights of Victims, Peace and Reconciliation of the Bogotá City Hall. The center promotes remembrance through exhibitions, artistic interventions, educational programs, and dialogue-based activities. It serves as a space where diverse social actors—victims, institutions, artists, and communities—come together to reflect on the past and build a more inclusive and peaceful future. The CMPR plays a key role in cultural mediation and is a significant reference in transitional justice in Latin America.
