Mains d’Œuvres is an independent cultural center managed by a non-profit association since 2000 in Saint-Ouen, on the outskirts of Paris. It occupies a former union building transformed into a multidisciplinary space hosting artistic residencies, performing and visual arts programs, educational workshops, and community events. Its mission is to support contemporary creation in all its forms, connecting artists with citizens through an accessible, critical, and diverse program. The center hosts artists-in-residence, organizes concerts, exhibitions, and educational activities, particularly for audiences with limited cultural access. It also fosters social and territorial innovation through art, with a strong emphasis on relational and participatory practices. Mains d’Œuvres is part of national and international cultural networks and has established itself as a hybrid model of a cultural center committed to art as a tool for individual and collective transformation.
