Makea Tu Vida is a non-profit social and educational organization operating at the intersection of design and ecology. Since 2006, it has promoted open design, reuse, and co-creation to transform habitats and question current consumption models. Through workshops, prototyping, and collaborative methodologies, it encourages the collective creation of objects, messages, and spaces, fostering individual and community empowerment. Its DIY/DIWO (do it yourself / do it with others) philosophy defends collective creativity as a critical tool against the “throwaway” culture. Makea advocates reuse as a political act, open learning, and shared intelligence. The makeadorx transforms waste into valuable resources, embodying a playful, critical, and sustainable mindset in response to consumer society.
