The Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica is the national institution responsible for coordinating and promoting the country’s cultural life. It oversees areas such as visual arts, performing arts, music, heritage, libraries, youth, and more. Its mission is to foster and preserve cultural diversity and ensure inclusive participation in artistic and cultural development across all communities, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or location. The Ministry’s vision is to be a strategic and future-oriented institution that contributes to the creative and holistic development of individuals and communities. Through national and international collaboration, it promotes cultural expression, the appreciation of traditions, and access to cultural goods and services, aiming to enhance Costa Rica’s social values and quality of life.
