Bio / presentation

The Dinosaur Museum of Salas de los Infantes, located in the province of Burgos, holds one of the most important collections of Early Cretaceous dinosaur fossils in the Iberian Peninsula. Managed by the Foundation for the Study of Dinosaurs in Castilla y León, it preserves fossil remains, ichnites (footprints), plant fossils, and geological materials from the Sierra de la Demanda. The museum’s mission is to promote paleontological heritage through permanent exhibits, educational programs, workshops, and scientific events. It actively collaborates on excavations and research with national and international institutions. The museum is a cultural and scientific benchmark in a rural setting, fostering natural history knowledge and boosting tourism and education in the region.
