The Museum of History of Madrid, located at Calle Fuencarral 78 in the Centro district, is housed in the former Royal Hospice of San Fernando, an 18th-century Baroque building. The museum presents the historical and urban development of Madrid from its designation as the capital in 1561 up to the early 20th century. Its collection boasts over 60,000 items, including the 1830 model of Madrid and works by artists such as Goya and Luca Giordano. Admission is free, and the museum offers educational activities and temporary exhibitions.
