Bio / presentation
The Zaragoza Origami School-Museum (EMOZ), located on the top floor of the Centro de Historias, is the first museum in Europe dedicated to origami. Managed by the Origami Zaragoza Association, it holds one of the world’s finest collections, built over decades through exchanges and donations from masters such as Akira Yoshizawa and Eric Joisel. EMOZ promotes origami as an art form through exhibitions, workshops, courses, and international collaborations. Its mission is to preserve and spread origami, support creators, and professionalize the field. Its vision includes expanding the museum, gaining global recognition of origami as art, and positioning Zaragoza as the world’s origami capital. The museum operates on values such as sustainability, creativity, openness to knowledge-sharing, and a global perspective.
