Bio / presentation
The Evita Museum, located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, is dedicated to the life and legacy of Eva Duarte de Perón. Opened on July 26, 2002, the museum operates in the historic "Casa Carabassa," a mansion built in 1923 and acquired by the Eva Perón Foundation in 1948 to establish the Transit Home No. 2. The permanent collection includes personal belongings, dresses, documents, and photographs that portray Evita's life from her childhood to her role as First Lady and her social work. The museum also houses the National Institute of Historical Research Eva Perón (INIHEP), dedicated to researching and disseminating her figure and Peronism. In addition to exhibitions, the museum offers educational and cultural activities, and features a shop and a restaurant in its courtyard. It is one of the most visited museums in the city, reflecting Evita's significance in Argentine history.
