NOASS is an independent contemporary art centre located in Riga, Latvia, established in 1997. Uniquely situated on floating platforms on the Daugava River, it serves as a local and international symbol of creative activity. The centre presents a wide range of cultural programming including contemporary art, visual arts, performance, cinema, design, and new media. NOASS plays a key role in developing Latvia’s cultural scene by supporting both emerging and established artists through exhibitions, artistic production, festivals, and international collaborations. It also hosts residencies and promotes cultural exchange. NOASS is known for bridging urban culture with contemporary artistic practices in an aquatic and innovative environment.
