Bio / presentation
Oriol Fontdevila is a curator, researcher, and writer based in Barcelona, focusing on art practices and education. He was awarded a Doctoral Grant by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC, 2020–2023). He has curated exhibitions in institutions such as the Antoni Tàpies Foundation, Joan Miró Foundation, La Virreina, Santa Mònica Arts Centre, and the Vojvodina Museum of Contemporary Art (Serbia). He was part of the European project Performing the Museum and served as artistic director of Sala d’Art Jove. His book The Art of Mediation (consonni, 2018) originated from a research grant by MNCARS (Museo Reina Sofía). He contributes to art books and catalogues and is a visiting lecturer in several MA programs. He is currently assistant professor at EINA University of Art and Design, Barcelona.
