Bio / presentation
Founded in 2011 by the Aragonese musician Sergio Guarné, the orchestra has become one of Spain's leading private ensembles, under the direction of Ricardo Casero since 2013 and in residence at the Auditorio de Zaragoza since 2017. It has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Isaac Karabtchevsky and Álvaro Albiach, and prominent artists such as Sarah Chang and Natalia Gutman. Up to the 2022/2023 season, the ORA has presented more than 65 productions and 200 concerts to an audience of over 200,000, and has toured eight countries. Highlights include an extensive tour of China, where it performed in major venues over 48 days, international festivals in Italy, and tours of Germany and Turkey. It has also performed on prestigious stages in Toulouse, France. The ORA has participated in major recordings and soundtracks and distributes its recordings through Halidon Music, reaching a wide global audience. Its concerts have been broadcast in Latin America on the Allegro HD channel.
