Bio / presentation
The Palacio Libertad – Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Cultural Center is Latin America's largest cultural venue, spanning over 100,000 m² dedicated to music, visual arts, theater, literature, and new technologies. Located in Buenos Aires' former Central Post Office, the building was inaugurated in 1928 and declared a National Historic Monument in 1997. It was transformed into a cultural center in 2015 and renamed in 2024 to honor the Argentine president and educator. The venue features iconic spaces like the National Auditorium (seating 1,750 and housing a 1912 Klais organ), the Sala Argentina, and a glass dome offering panoramic city views. Its programming includes symphonic concerts, immersive exhibitions, theater, cinema, workshops, and children's activities, renowned for its diversity and accessibility.
