Bio / presentation

Los Glaciares National Park, located in Santa Cruz Province (Argentina), is a Patagonian treasure and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. Covering over 700,000 hectares, it includes much of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the largest continental ice mass outside Antarctica. The park is home to iconic glaciers like Perito Moreno, Upsala, and Spegazzini, as well as the dramatic peaks of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. It harbors diverse wildlife such as the Andean condor, the huemul deer, and the puma. Managed by Argentina’s National Parks Administration, the park balances conservation, scientific research, and sustainable tourism. It is a vital sanctuary for understanding climate change and glacial ecosystems.
