Bio / presentation

Patricia Urquiola (1961) is a Spanish architect and designer known worldwide for her innovative and versatile approach to interior design, furniture and architecture. Born in Oviedo, she studied at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and graduated from the Politecnico di Milano, where she worked with Achille Castiglioni. Her style combines functionality and creativity, with a special sensitivity for materials and craftsmanship. In 2001 he founded his own studio in Milan, collaborating with brands such as Moroso, Kartell, Cassina and Louis Vuitton. He has designed hotels, commercial spaces and iconic furniture, fusing technology and tradition in his creations. His projects include the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Barcelona and the artistic direction of Cassina. He has received multiple awards, including the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in Spain. His work represents a balance between innovation, emotion and sustainability in contemporary design.
