Bio / presentation

The Planetarium of Castellón, inaugurated on May 8, 1991, is a scientific and technological outreach center located in the Grao de Castellón, by the Mediterranean Sea. It features a 25-meter-high white dome and the sculpture "La Hembra del Mar" by Juan Ripollés at its entrance. The building houses a projection room with a capacity for 105 people and a 12.5-meter-diameter screen, equipped with a hybrid projection system combining optomechanical and digital technology. Additionally, it offers permanent exhibitions on astronomy and the Columbretes Islands, as well as temporary exhibitions related to science and technology. The Planetarium organizes educational activities, workshops, astronomical observations, and the Astronomy Days, becoming a reference in promoting scientific culture in the Valencian Community.
