Bio / presentation
Sala Ártika is a space born in 2014 out of love for the performing arts. For nearly seven years, it has maintained a steady program, bringing theatre closer to the people of Vigo and becoming a cultural reference point in Galicia and throughout Spain. After years of commitment and professionalism, we have finally taken the step of creating our own company: Ártika Cía. This new project was born with love and the desire to further promote Galician culture. Our debut show, A Illa da Deslembranza, explores a theme that touches us all: Alzheimer’s. We have all been exposed to this word from a young age, and we wanted to create a family show to help children face this topic, which deeply affects our grandparents.
