Bio / presentation
The Arts Council of Sri Lanka is the national institution responsible for promoting artistic and cultural development in the country. Established in 1952, it serves as an advisory body to the government on cultural matters and supports artists, collectives, and organizations through programs, competitions, and guidance. Its work aims to strengthen both traditional and contemporary arts, foster creativity, and protect Sri Lanka’s cultural identity. The Council also works to broaden access to the arts nationwide, promoting cultural education and international exchange.
