Tanxarina Títeres is a Galician puppet theatre company founded in 1983 by former students of Harry Tozer and professionals in children’s and youth theatre. With over 40 years of experience, it is one of Galicia’s most prestigious puppet companies. Their shows, aimed at children, youth, and families, blend various puppetry techniques (string puppets, glove, rod, shadow, bunraku) with the actors’ onstage presence. The interplay between puppets and performers is their hallmark. They have performed at major festivals across Spain and internationally, touring over 15 countries. Since 2000, the company has expanded into theatre and audiovisual productions. Tanxarina is also deeply involved in education, offering courses in puppet construction and manipulation. Since 2000, they have directed the Redondela International Puppet Festival. The company is currently composed of Eduardo Rodríguez “Tatán”, Miguel Borines, and Andrés Giráldez.
