Founded in 1985, Teatro do Atlántico has produced 35 shows, including notable titles such as A Doll’s House by Ibsen; The Night of the Tribades by Olov Enquist; The Siege of Leningrad by Sanchis Sinisterra; A Spring for Aldara by Teresa Moure; The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh; Memory of Helena and María by Roberto Salgueiro; The Useless Pond by David Desola; The Principle of Archimedes by J. Miró; and Helena: Trial of a Harlot by Miguel del Arco. Teatro do Atlántico, winner of the 2016 Galicia Critics’ Award in the Performing Arts category, has so far received 69 nominations and 30 awards for Acting, Directing, Set Design, Lighting, Translation, or Best Show.
