Bio / presentation

Upper Canada Village is one of Canada's leading open-air heritage museums. Located in Morrisburg, Ontario, it recreates life in an 1860 village from the Upper Canada region before Canadian Confederation. The site includes authentically restored buildings: homes, shops, churches, schools, and mills. Costumed interpreters demonstrate traditional trades such as blacksmithing, carpentry, farming, and baking. The experience is immersive, educational, and participatory, allowing visitors to discover daily life in the 19th century. Upper Canada Village is a model for living history museums, focusing on tangible and intangible heritage preservation.
