VIERNULVIER is a multidisciplinary arts center located in Ghent, Belgium, housed in the historic De Vooruit building, an architectural gem from the early 20th century. It hosts a wide variety of cultural events including theatre, dance, performances, festivals, lectures, concerts, and parties, collaborating with both national and international artists. The name VIERNULVIER (“four zero four” in Dutch) refers to the internet error code 404, symbolizing continuous search and openness to new possibilities; it was adopted in 2022 to avoid confusion with the Belgian political party Vooruit. In addition to its artistic programming, the center features a spacious art deco café and a modern terrace, offering a social space for drinks, food, and conversation. With more than 350,000 annual visitors, VIERNULVIER has become a cultural landmark in Ghent, fostering the intersection between art, social engagement, and activism.
