Bio / presentación
The Junta Central Fallera (JCF) is the autonomous body of the Valencia City Council responsible for regulating, coordinating, and promoting the Fallas festival, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Its main mission is to preserve the essence and tradition of this unique festivity, which combines art, satire, music, pyrotechnics, and citizen participation. The JCF organizes the Fallas calendar, establishes regulations, coordinates the "fallas" commissions, elects the "Falleras Mayores" (main Fallas representatives), and promotes traditional attire, music, and the construction of the monuments. Furthermore, it carries out significant work in disseminating and promoting the Fallas locally, nationally, and internationally, ensuring the intergenerational transmission of this complex and vibrant Valencian cultural heritage.
