Bio / presentation
elBullifoundation is a project launched by chef Ferran Adrià after the closure of elBulli, his iconic restaurant, in 2011. Conceived as a center for research and gastronomic innovation, the foundation aims to preserve elBulli’s legacy while exploring new frontiers in creativity and culinary knowledge. Located in Cala Montjoi, on the Costa Brava, elBullifoundation is structured around various initiatives, such as elBulli1846, an exhibition and experimentation space, and Bullipedia, a gastronomic encyclopedia for professionals. Its multidisciplinary approach connects cooking with fields like design, science, and technology, promoting disruptive thinking and culinary education. The foundation also collaborates with universities and companies to generate knowledge and innovation in haute cuisine. Through its projects, elBullifoundation keeps Ferran Adrià’s avant-garde spirit alive, strengthening his influence on global gastronomy and redefining the future of culinary creativity.
